How to Create a Promo Code
- In the Dashboard menu, tap “Promos”
- In the Promo Codes menu, tap the orange plus-sign to open the window to create a promo code.
- In the Promo Code Name field, you should enter the promo code you want people to use. It’s not case-sensitive, but spaces and special characters do matter.
- Enter the Ticket/Pass Discount % for the promo code. (ie. 20%)
- Enter the Service Charge (Transaction Fee) Discount %, if applicable
- Note: Promoters do NOT have this option. HOWEVER, if they want to issue a promo code for a free ticket or pass, then entering 100% as the Ticket/Pass Discount will also remove the Transaction Fee.
- Enter the Use Limit (# of times the promo code can be used), if applicable.
- Enter the Expiration Date, if applicable, or select that there’s no expiration date.
- Select the Account that the promo code should apply to, if applicable. If left empty, the promo code can be used anywhere. If an account is selected, the promo code will only apply to that specific account’s events.
Notes on Promo Codes
- Promoters do NOT have the option to discount the Service Charge/Transaction Fee. HOWEVER, if they want to issue a promo code for a free ticket or pass, then entering 100% as the Ticket/Pass Discount will also remove the Transaction Fee by default.
- We’re going to be making changes to promo codes in the future to offer a wider range of options.
- Currently, promo codes apply to all passes purchased under a particular user’s name in Pit Pay / Kart Pass, and to the entire cart in Ticket Hoss.
