How Stripe is Setup
All of our Stripe accounts live under the primary Pit Pay account and can be accessed by logging into dashboard.stripe.com.
You can toggle at the top left of your desktop screen between Pit Pay, Kart Pass and Ticket Hoss.
The toggle is also where you can add a new account.
All of our Stripe accounts are connected to the same bank account.
In the top right of the screen, you’ll see the gear for accessing the Stripe settings – this is where you can find all the business info that was supplied to Stripe, update the bank account, change tax settings, etc.
Stripe Menu
Home
- Quick view of current PP/KP/TH account balance.
- This is where you can payout our account balance to our bank account.
Payments
- This is a running tally of all payments as they come in.
- If you look at “All Transactions” you’ll see the payment followed by associated transfers.
- You’ll typically see 2 transfers – one to the connected account and one to the marketing fund account.
- Under “All Payments,” you can view successful payments, refunded payments and failed payments.
Balances
- This shows more detail on our balances that what you’ll find on the home screen.
- You can also payout from this screen.
Customers
- This tab shows all of our Stripe customers and their payment history.
- The search is useful if you’re trying to track down any payment info for a customer. You can see things like if a charge failed and the reason, if they’ve purchased before, if they’ve been double charged, etc.
- If a customer has an inquiry, this is a good place to start if you don’t have enough info in our Dashboard to assist.
- It’s also a good place to look if a customer files a dispute.
Products
- We don’t use this tab.
Reports
- This is more for accounting purposes, not something I have needed to use.
Connect
- This tab is where you spend the bulk of your time.
- You can monitor transfers to connected accounts, their account balances, their standing, their EOY taxes, etc.
- This is where you initiate payouts to connect accounts.
- It’s also where you can check to confirm an account is onboarded and check after an account is onboarded to make sure the account is connected properly.
More
- You probably won’t ever need this section.
